BSc (Hons) Games Development
The year in review
Words by Mark Wickham, Course Leader
Welcome to the first graduating cohort of BSc (Hons) Games Development.
This year is an important milestone for the university and marks the first students to graduate with a BSc from NUA. As part of ‘Games at NUA’, the course closely aligns with BA (Hons) Games Art and Design to create opportunities for collaboration and create real-world scenarios as a platform for learning.

We’ve had guest speakers from Media Tonic, FXHome, BT, taken part in Global Game Jam, and held a co-organised NUA / Game Anglia Games Industry Career event. A Games Art and Design and Game Development collaboration also realised and published a game for a commercial client.
A small but perfectly formed cohort, students have gone on to find success in either employment in the sector as programmers or Post-graduate study on MSc Computer Science courses.
