BA (Hons) Design for Publishing
Over the last three years studying Graphic Design and Design for Publishing, I have acquired a passion for all aspects of editorial design. As well as designing book covers, magazines, record covers, and photobooks, I have also explored a wide range of image and type creation by more traditional and non-digital means. Some of these methods include ink and cola pens, lino printing, paints and also a multitude of different pens. Mixing the hand-rendered and digital has allowed me to add depth and layers to my designs, and I plan to continue to experiment with this approach in the future.

Although a lot of my recent work has been print based, the skills I have learnt as an editorial designer have allowed me to develop a deeper understanding of the intricacies of typography, typesetting, and the handling of type and image together. These are all fundamental skills that are important in all areas of graphic design.
