Adam Wood

BA (Hons) Games Art and Design

A stylised, hand-painted recreation of the Tantalus Hideout from Final Fantasy 9 by BA Games Art and Design student Adam Wood.

I am a 3D Prop and Environment artist that loves creating stylised, hand painted assets.

I came to University with no background in digital art. I spent my first year practising fundamentals every day through digital painting. As I transitioned into 3D I continued to paint, incorporating these skills into my 3D art where I would slowly develop my hand painted approach to texturing.

During my studies, my generalist approach to learning has given me a much wider skill set such as Character Art and PBR Texturing.

In my third year, I received my first industry job at Free Radical Design.

My favourite thing about being an artist is always having something to learn and improve on.
