Aimee Pope

BA (Hons) Illustration

The concept for this brief is to compose an eclectic publication that highlights underrepresented issues surrounding women’s health and well-being across a variety of contexts. This magazine explores diverse topics and showcases the opinions of the illustrators and creators of today. For this brief we asked for creative material that these women felt supported the concepts of health topics, and that they hold closely to their hearts. Some of these topics represent self-growth, whilst others discuss sexual well-being. The mission was to create a space which young women can refer to and feel empowered that they are not alone; that health issues do exist that we are not necessarily educated about from a young age. This publication barely scratches the surface of the masses of health issues that are underrepresented, but we hope this restores faith in the matter that young women need to be educated more about themselves, emotionally and physically.
