Alfie Holman

BA (Hons) Illustration

A digital art piece showing a small group of walking wounded, british soldiers walking along duckboard through No Man's Land

I’m an illustrator based in Norfolk, specialising in narrative, character-heavy art and horror. My illustrative style offers a rougher and messier approach. I focus primarily on a mix of period settings, real-life and fictional horror combined with tragedy, which lends a bleaker lens to view stories. I’ve spent my final year of university conceptualising, beginning, and collaborating on the production of a comic titled ‘Deadman’s Company’, which sees vampires being used in World War 1 to gain the upper hand in war. Despite still being in early production, the work produced so far offers a horrible look into the greater and more personal tragedies of the real conflict that saw young men murdering and dying for King and Country.
Moving forward from university, I hope to continue working with comics and narrative, lending my hand to more horror stories and creature features.
