My work is inspired by my love of all things kitschy and niche – my final project was a zine that explores changing beauty standards, internet culture and navigating life being a twenty-something not quite ready to grow up yet. Somewhat of a passion project, Mary Sue Zine was my baby – I wrote all the articles, shot all the photos and did all the direction and styling to give it a really intimate feeling almost like a diary or scrap book, as many young adults have spent their first few adult years in the loneliness of lockdown. I am currently looking at freelancing in marketing and social media whilst I finish my training, in the hopes of one day running my own pub or bar!
