Alyona Subkhankulova
BA (Hons) Illustration
I am a multidisciplinary illustrator with a focus on narrative work and art as research. Having participated in curation teams, design teams and external collaborations, I thrive when working with others and view communication as a large part of my practice. This has been supported by others, as I have received positive feedback on my interviewing skills, as well as winning the PAL (peer-assisted learning) Person of the Year award.
As a student ambassador for the university, I have developed my communication skills to involve presentations, external communications and assisting in workshops.
An emerging creative, I am keen to showcase my work to public audiences, whether this be sharing my writing in issues of Storehouse magazine or illustrating a picture book. I aim to continue learning and developing my skills, such as graphic design. Whether during university or for external working opportunities, I am developing my practice through both independent study and collaboration.
