Amelia Boyles
BA (Hons) Photography
Amelia Boyles is a natural landscape photographer who captures moments in time, both big and small. She enjoys showing the surroundings through the eyes of small creatures, focusing on surfaces and objects that one might not usually think to observe and reflect upon. Most of Amelia’s photography includes natural settings, showing close-ups of flowers, other plants, and the small scale of natural surfaces, often from the perspective of an insect for example.
Amelia has an interest in horticulture, the evolution of plants and growth, which inspires her images and is translated into her photography. She is most content being surrounded by nature on walks outdoors and enjoys finding beautiful or interesting little moments in typically mundane settings. Similarly, she likes to find interest and beauty in simple things in domestic environments, whilst controlling the warm and neutral colours to convey the image to be tranquil and to encapsulate wellbeing.
