Bailey Hughes

BA (Hons) Games Art and Design

An old lady is displayed, with wild large white hair, a streak painted down her face, and giant pauldrons shaped like fists on her shoulders. Beside her is her Oven, which doubles as a Lat-Pulldown Machine!

I’m an adaptable and professional concept artist, with a love for personal and team development. I’ve spent my time adapting to new skills and techniques that I can utilize to ultimately produce better art. I have a particular knack for narrative-focused character concepts, but my final project moved away from this entirely, as I leaped into learning 3D modelling and environment concept, my weakest points. This resulted in me gaining a strong sense of character art pipelines which I’ll be a part of, as well as developing an immense tool to use in my concept work for character, asset and environment alike.
I’m very proud of my recent improvements, though I consider it only the beginning! I will be striving to keep it going.

A character display/illustration of Adeline, who's sword replaced leg swipes upwards.

I’m a strong communicator and try to inject a sense of fun and exciting creativity into my teams. Having worked on game jams and now professional projects, I’ve loved every second of it, and can only hope I get to work alongside such wonderful people again!

Viola stands centered, swords drawn, covered in smoke. Swords & grenades are also displayed.
