BA (Hons) Fine Art
Beth’s practise focuses on the horse and its versatility as a creative icon, utilising various creative mediums, mainly print, drawing, and installation, as a form of catharsis. Combining past trauma and Paracosmic immersion (a form of childhood imaginary play), the work is both a passive and active example of self-representation and emotional healing.
The tone of red has become an important aspect of Beth’s work, as she uses colour psychology to the convey the underlying themes of her trauma, often taking on abstract tones and contexts.
Beth also enjoys working collaboratively with others on the fine art course as well as contributing to the projects 0f those on the Film and Moving Image course. With work also featuring in the Students Unions Storehouse magazine.
