Bethany Lacey-Freeman

BA (Hons) Illustration

BA Illustration work by Bethany Lacey-Freeman showing a pug brushing her teeth in front of a bathroom mirror with the title “RUBY! A zine by Bethany Lacey-Freeman” above her head.

Whilst earning my Illustration degree I also balanced life as a mentor and as Women’s Liberation Officer for Norwich University of the Arts and our Students’ Union. These roles strongly improved my organisation, communication, self-discipline and resilience skills, helping me climb towards the creative professional I know I can be. I am a versatile illustrator whose work varies from macabre or feminist imagery to more commercial, cartoony work.

As an avid researcher, I further understand certain disciplines within the industry, and would eventually want to work at studios as a visual development artist, concept artist, character designer or anything similar. Until then, freelance commissions, content creation on the Internet and merchandising my own work/characters is how I will start my post-graduation journey.
