Bethany Webb

BA (Hons) Illustration

An Egyptian scribe sits cross-legged on a mat drawing onto a sheet of rolled papyrus.

I am an illustrator who specialises in both digital and traditional ways of working. I am very driven by subjects I am passionate about, such as ancient history. It is important that I capture as much detail and historical accuracy as possible in my work when covering this subject, so as to be true to the original source which I am drawing from.

An Egyptian mummy lies in a white stone sarcophagus with a sheet of papyrus behind its head.

My work aims to provide a visual resource as a way of getting a glimpse at life in the ancient past. During my time at NUA I have developed skills in accumulating research from a variety of sources and learning how to translate written information into an appealing visual format. I am also proficient in working with digital creative software, such as Adobe Creative Suite.
