Blythe Paynter

BA (Hons) Film and Moving Image Production

Still from the LGBT Short Film 'Finger Guns' showing the main character Addison looking in a bathroom mirror.

I am a Director with a passion for creating LGBTQA+ and Neurodivergent stories. I strive to create the media I wish I had while growing up, with complex characters instead of tokenised queer/neurodivergent characters. I aim to develop my own recognisable visual style, such as Tim Burton and Wes Anderson. I have begun to experiment and achieve this style in my latest short film ‘Finger Guns’.

Still from LGBT short film 'Finger Guns'. Main character Addison and an attractive stranger flirt closely.
