Caitlin McGookin

BA (Hons) Games Art and Design

BA Games Art and Design work by Caitlin McGookin depicting a girl on a red background in front of a city skyline, holding a baseball bat.

I am a Games Art and Design graduate specialising in 2D character design, with skills in environment and asset design. I am passionate about the nuance that goes into crafting a character, as they are the vehicles in which the audience experiences and relates to the surrounding narrative – a topic that I enjoyed researching during my time at NUA. As an artist, I find joy in immersing the audience in fictional worlds through my designs.

I am excited to continue to develop my practice after graduating and I am looking forward to being able to utilise my skills in contribution to creative projects in the games industry or otherwise.
