BA (Hons) Fine Art
Chloe Ellis
Chloe Ellis has an interdisciplinary practice which focuses on a personal relationship with the local environment. Chloe has recently submitted assignments for her third year of study in Fine Art at Norwich University of the Arts, Norfolk. She has developed an expressionistic style which experiments with capturing light and natural forms through mediums of painting and printmaking. Usually, one discipline will inform the other and she will test the boundaries of painterly printmaking through monoprint and etching techniques.
Taking inspiration from artists such as, Ilse d’ Hollander and Eileen White, Chloe kindled an interest in temporal and ephemeral qualities. Her work attempts to convey the beauty of landscape through a delicate and soft application of medium and a recent passion for muted tones. Chloe has exhibited annually within university, partaking in group and solo shows as well as, having worked as a publicist for ROOM an external group show at Fairhurst Gallery.
