Chloe Gratton

BA (Hons) Animation

The Moon card from my tarot deck

My name is Chloe Gratton. I specialize in illustration and rotoscoping. I also write poetry and enjoy voice acting. Currently, I am working on creating my own tarot cards to distribute and publish for the widespread witchy audience. I am open for illustrative commissions such as children’s book drawings and poster design.

My film, ‘Getting Lost In The Dark’, is an animated accompaniment to my poem of the same name. I see it as an experimental reel of different techniques whilst still telling a story. Poetry is very important to me. Writing is cathartic and the ability to animate my poems lovely.

My tarot cards have been an ongoing project. Two years in and I have now designed the major arcana and am now working on the minor arcana. The majority of homemade tarot cards have a theme to them. I chose a space/ alien theme for mine because I’ve always had a fascination for space and I love the aesthetic around it.

When I’m not writing or designing tarot cards, I’m making posters.
