Clara Mukasa
BA (Hons) Fine Art
As an artist my work is a continual effort to contribute to black representation in visual art. Through my time spent both in university and previously in sixth form, curating exhibitions, working towards a given brief and collaborating with other students are skills I have grown. My work is mostly autobiographical, creating oil portraits using the technical skills of fine painting to capture realistic details of the subjects.
There is an ongoing theme of exploration of my own heritage whilst navigating through generational experiences and translating the found imagery onto a solid surface.
