Cody Gardiner

BA (Hons) Textile Design

BA Textile Design work by Cody Gardiner showing a floral repeat print design

I am an aspiring interior designer with a passion for hand drawn illustrative designs and a keen attention to detail.

My main inspirations evolve from the love of natural forms, more specifically towards house plants and spring time florals. My designs tend to fluctuate between drawing well known floral designs to exploring potentially new and obscure plants.

Colour is a crucial part in my design process, what particularly interests me is the reaction colour gives and how each colour portrays different feelings. Alongside this, I also like to explore contemporary issues within my work through my drawings.
