BA (Hons) Photography
As a landscape photographer I’m interested in documenting the importance of nature. My purpose is to explore contemporary issues linked to the landscape as a place for reflection and to explore the issues it faces from global warming, pollution and mankind’s impact. I hope to inform society on the environmental damage caused by these negative issues and how we should be protecting it, while seeing it’s beauty as it still stands. Conceptually, my aim is to challenge the viewers perspective on the natural landscape and how we respond to it as a space for supporting our mental health. My current practice has been influenced by the experience of social isolation, using the landscape as a focus of beauty and means of escape.
