Darcey McAlister-Wober
BA (Hons) Fine Art
Light and shadow have always been of the utmost importance in my art practice. I have spent my Fine Art degree exploring this fascination with light and shadow, and their relation to space. Manifesting through painting and an exploration into light’s place in the world of installation art, I attempt to depict its transformative quality. This exploration of installation art has also provoked an interest in curation and the presentation of art.
Through the curatorial projects I have taken on throughout my degree, I have learnt that the way a work is hung can be just as important as the piece itself, a lesson I will use to pursue a career in curation.
