Diane Grantham
BA (Hons) Fine Art
My degree has equipped me with self-awareness, self-discipline, sustained focus, and a level of confidence to produce my practice to a professional standard.
Throughout the course I have developed my skills in the 3-D workshop, in research informing my briefs, appreciating crits and feedback to guide my practice on many levels. I mostly work independently but I enjoy and thrive, working within a team. My dyslexic tendencies have enhanced my verbal and listening abilities and creatively allows me to see and develop projects beyond their limitations.
I have always had a deep sense of justice in ‘ethical and moral’ issues, this is the backbone to my practice. I have undertaken research into modern slavery, and many other challenging subjects. I am empathic and not afraid of tackling sensitive issues.
The fields of illustration and textile/surface design interest me; combining fine art skills and narrative creatively.
