Elsie specialises in Surface Pattern Design, with a passion for botanical illustration and watercolour. A repeat pattern printed onto a cotton-linen fabric with neutral colours, including a rich beige background, with striking deep green stripes, motifs of leafy green plant.

Inspiration for the project came from going on walks and visiting gardens throughout the seasons that influences a positive wellbeing, in which she found a deep passion for botanicals, and expressing her skills in detailed watercolour illustration and designing patterns – showing her knowledge of the intricate details and colour in nature.

Elsie has always been fascinated by pattern and how it can transform a living space. Having an eye for detail, scale and colour are skills that she thinks are fundamental to being a successful Surface Pattern Designer, which she has highly developed through projects at university.
