My time at university has been used to pinpoint the sector that most interests me, that being writing/directing. ‘Over the Irish Sea’ was a direct result of my own ponderings over my national identity, with the two ‘sides’ so to speak, of Northern Ireland being personified through the two characters. I like world-building, taking slightly more abstract or obscure but very personally meaningful messages and hiding them in an exterior of pure fiction. German expressionism has influenced my work greatly, its exaggeration of the real world going so far as to almost make it believable in and of itself. This is something I hope to explore further in my next short. I am always open to collaboration and further discussion and can be contacted via email.
