Faith Madden

BA (Hons) Textile Design

BA Textile Design work by Faith Madden showing a range of print designs on fabric and on an upholstered chair.

Through my degree I have developed into a digital print designer. I am passionate about print for fashion and interiors. My photography and drawings are an integral part of my print designs, and this combined with my digital skills allows me to create commercially viable print work. I have had work experience with both Ted Baker’s design studio and a small independent business in Norwich. This has given me insight into the industry at different scales. These experiences have helped me to develop my skills in photoshop software, working as part of a team and gaining general knowledge of how a business is run.

My time at NUA has given me the opportunity to develop both my digital and practical skills, expanding my knowledge of adobe software, screen print, research and development. I have also completed a live project brief while at NUA for Stylus, exploring colour, materials and finish, with positive feedback on my digital print designs.
