Florence Bolton-Smith

BA (Hons) Textile Design

BA Textile Design work by Florence Bolton-Smith showing The Ottilie Collection floral wallpaper alongside woven and embroidered cushions.

I am a creative grounded within the realm of textiles and interiors. Exploration of customer profiles married with technical enrichment, whether that be print, weave, embroidery, photography, or styling, allowed me to centre my practice on the translation of identity through textiles. My degree adopted a transitional role, allowing me to navigate from textiles to interiors, in pursuit of designing immersive spaces specifically tailored to the situated occupants. The power your environment possesses, to enrich senses and dictate emotional wellbeing, is my primary interest and channelling this passion into a career path is my current focus.

At present, I am working for an Interior Design PR agency, alongside renovating a listed town house for short term let purposes. These opportunities will provide me with the knowledge and experiences within both marketing and property development, to strive towards an Interior Design role in line with my creative direction.
