BA (Hons) Illustration
I am an illustrator and visual communicator with skills in creating narrative and digital design. My illustrations tell stories about myth, history, and folklore within book formats – blurring the lines between fact and fiction. My projects include inside illustrations for ‘Lincoln in the Bardo’, a book cover entry for the Penguin Design Awards, and a handmade book exploring objects as vessels for memories; and in 2020, my cover for ‘Little Women’ was runner up in a Little White Lies brief. Working with these formats has expanded my knowledge of Photoshop and Indesign – creating typefaces and working with graphic design elements.
I have also completed commissions for a local musician and an independent publisher, which has honed my skills in communicating with clients and flexibility in responding to a variety of briefs. Meanwhile, I have led the promotion team of Storehouse (NUA’s student magazine), developing my confidence in team leadership, social media and working to deadlines.
