Frederick James Shearman

BA (Hons) Graphic Design

A rebrand on the chocolate brand using design inspiration from the 70's and badges. Focusing on the name and the phrase to create a ethos in sustainable chocolate.

I am a recent BA (Hons) Graphic Design graduate with strong organisational skills, self-discipline and proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign. I adapted well to online platforms during lockdown and have experience working in both studio and virtual environments. I am a creative and driven designer who strives to produce striking and authentic work. I value solid ideas, effective communication and collaboration. My time at Norwich University of the Arts allowed me to expand my creative abilities in digital and traditional printing. I specialise in brand creation, visual identity, packaging design, typography and editorial design, and enjoy challenging myself to develop a diverse portfolio. I seek to work in a studio that focuses on these types of projects, utilising my project management and teamwork skills. Sustainability is also a key consideration in my work, as I believe it is vital in today’s design landscape.

A third year project creating a rebrand for Mountain Warehouse. Using themes from clothing, hiking and natural environments to create a new and fresh brand world.
This is a biscuit brand created around themes from earthquakes and the Umbria Jazz festival. Focusing a lot on earthy tones with hints towrds Jazz music.
IGNIS is a gin drinks packaging inspired by the folklore tale The Lantern Men based around Cambridge and other parts of East Anglia. Using mark making through inspiration of east anglian landscapes with pops of colours to refer to the spirits.
This is a small booklet project about the Nike Jordan brand and the Jordan shoe silhouette's 1-11, using elements created from basketball themes and the shoe designs.
