BA (Hons) Illustration
I’m an illustrator & storyteller creating connections to an audience through authentically told paper cut stories. I’m excited about the way I can illustrate meaning through simple motifs using paper cut.
I enjoy problem solving, figuring out ways to apply my work to any brief while still being true to my creative voice. My paper cuts are characterful & hand cut, with a distinctive style that I can apply to both publishing & editorial contexts.
I wrote & illustrated ‘Uprooted’, a graphic novel inspired by growing wild flowers in a shared garden & watching my landlord pull out the huge ragwort that was home to the cinnabar moth caterpillars. It will be part of a collection of short illustrated stories written from my authentic personal experiences of the everyday. The story promotes biodiversity by adding magic to the mundanity of “weeds”. ‘Uprooted’ led me to explore the concept of wildness, how everything that was once wild, will be wild again.
