Georgia Smith

BA (Hons) Textile Design

BA Textile Design work by Georgia Smith showing a hand drawn Betta fish in coloured pencil next to a fabric sample of abstract illuminating discharge.

Drawing has always been at the forefront of everything I do as an artist and designer. Driven by my love of creativity and desire to captivate minds, I have developed a keen eye for detail and a strong understanding of colour. With this knowledge I have gathered throughout my time at Norwich University of the Arts I am able to create innovative and beautifully intricate print designs for interiors.

Inspired by designers such as, Timorous Beasties, when creating my work, I enjoy the challenge of combining my realistic drawing style with digitally manipulated imagery. My degree has also provided me with skills and experience in self-discipline, time management and professionalism, which has prepared me effectively for working in the creative industry as a self-employed artist.
