BA (Hons) Fashion Communication and Promotion

Little Red Riding Hood' by Charles Perrault tells of a young girl who comes across a cunning wolf on the way to her grandmother's home. The wolf deceives both her and her grandmother and eats them. This time around, Little Red Riding Hood got to him first and decided to make a coat out of him.

I am a visual communicator focusing on marketing, image-making and creative direction. Throughout university, I focused my work on storytelling imagery and learnt various skills in defined areas such as marketing, photography, and graphic design. My graduate project explores the imaginative reimagining of fairytales in a high-fashion storytelling editorial book. I am a dependable, adaptable, and enthusiastic person who is always looking to further knowledge and progress.

Cinderella is a fairy tale written by Charles Perrault. This is a story about a poor girl's passivity in the form of abuse that ends with a reward by a fairy godmother and wins a prince's heart. It's a gentle reminder to remain kind to everyone. So let's say this time around, Cinderella got her wish, but it isn't in the form of a Prince, but shoes.

I am currently considering the following stages of my career post-graduation, looking to gain experience and expertise in editorial design, styling, and journalism. My work usually centres around pop culture, favourite films and tv shows, journalism and history. My creative signature is playful and bright, complimenting my witty and innovative approach to ideas, always trying to push boundaries.

Based on the classic fairy tale by the Brothers Grimm, Beauty and the Beast is a story about a young prince that was cast under a spell. His spell could only be broken with true love. But, alas, there is no man in this tale, only Beast.
The Little Mermaid (1837) is one of Hans Christian Andersen's most beloved fairy tales. It is about a mermaid willing to give up her life in the sea and immortality in exchange for a human soul. There's no happy ending in Andersen's version; the Little Mermaid has given up both her tail and voice and has to learn to love without a prince.
TW: Sleeping Beauty is based on a story where a married king finds a girl asleep and can't wake her, so rapes her instead. The story is called The Sun, the Moon, and Talia, written, or at the least collected and composed, by the Italian poet Giambattista Basile. 1 in 5 women have been raped or sexually assaulted as an adult (rapecrisis.org, 2022) Although, not a solution, Sleeping Beauty is attempting to recover from this tragic event in her own way.
