Henry Gadsdon

BA (Hons) Graphic Communication

BA Graphic Communications work by Henry Gadsdon displaying the 'Cut Short' restaurant sign, a playful restaurant experience with an edge.

As a designer, I want to continue playing in the branding and advertising sectors in ways that convey the need to tell stories through foolproof concepts. This strategy-led approach to the creative, alongside my passion for copywriting and motion design, helps me to communicate insights in a way that provokes conversation, especially on topics that need to be addressed right now.

I’ve learnt to always question creative decisions, a process which I believe has given me a well-rounded ‘eye’ for design both visually and figuratively. Live briefs and competitions whilst at university gave the most beneficial opportunities to refine these skills independently as well as the means to efficiently articulate and sell these ideas to a wider team. Consistent critical feedback groups ensured that I keep my work to the highest standards, as well as adapting to the position of giving well-informed feedback also.
