Holly Carr

BA (Hons) Graphic Communication

Branding identity for The Bunker, a restaurant by Holly Carr, showing two orange paper takeaway bags, with an explosive identity inspired by heat spices and secrecy. Under the handles of the bag is an outline of the bottom of a rocket

Hi, I’m Holly. I’m a multidisciplinary design graduate who loves branding, visual identity, advertising and campaigns. I am experimental, resilient, ambitious and idea-driven with a passion for problem-solving. I enjoy copywriting, creating motion graphics and experimenting with type. I am a clear communicator; discussing ideas and my work is sharp and to the point with a clear message.

The past year has shown me where some of my strengths lie in design. I thrive in the ideation stage of a project. I work well within a team, bouncing ideas off each other and using our strengths to create a project that answers the brief cleverly and uniquely. I have enjoyed creating various projects this year, from beautiful idea-driven identities to smart and witty advertising projects that target specific problems. I have worked on copywriting and creating engaging explainer videos that have developed my motion skills.

Three black and white posters promoting The Death Museum. On the left, a photograph of sculpted heads on shelves, with a circle shape in the centre and 'The final stop' written in black text. In the centre, a black background with a white circle in the middle. Inside the circle is a Plague Doctor. Above the circle in white text, 'Here lies Black Death Exhibit'. The final poster shows a black and white photo of bodies piled in trenches, with a faded white circle in the centre saying 'Death Museum' in black text. By Holly Carr, BA Graphic Communication
