BA (Hons) Fashion Communication and Promotion
Inday Harrison
I am a fashion promotion and communications student with a focus on public relations, retail innovation and business creation with an interest in user experience and creative concepts. My creative practice includes fashion photography and store design, with a strong interest in trends. I am particularly motivated by introducing new concepts that are evidenced by research, such as combining eCommerce with physical retail and focusing on trends. My interest for public relations and retail innovation has come from my confident and vibrant personality, with my own strong personal brand identity.
My current project is focusing on concept stores and in-store experiences and the new purpose of stores combing a social media platform with a fashion store. Mood X Instagram is a completely new and innovative brand that has never been done before, mixing Instagram with the fashion world is the sole purpose of my brand, creating a new high-street concept store that changes it’s trend every 2 months based on what the customer wants to see. I am also incorporating modern digital technology within my store, through the use of large interactive digital screens on the walls of the store to set the scene, allowing customers to change the setting of the store they are in themselves. The project showcases how to create customer experiences and bring a trend to life by incorporating work shops into the stores that will educate customers and allow them to experience retail like never before. In the future, I would like a role in brand consultancy and public relations within the high street, with a focus on the future of retail and social media.
