Isabella Borowski

BA (Hons) Illustration

A photograph of 24-page short story zine titled 'Bringing Back Snow'. The front cover shows an illustration of a curled up white cat, being petted by a yellow hand.

As a recent Illustration graduate, I have explored a variety of traditional and digital outcomes. This has allowed me to thoroughly explore the relationship between digital and traditional mediums in the past couple of years.

Photograph of a phone scanning an inside page of the zine to show an animated version of the page giving the viewer the visual movement of the image.

This year, my work prides itself on using watercolours and mixed reality technology to produce immersive creative content. Through independent learning, I have taught myself how to use augmented reality software like Snap Lens Studio, Spark AR and Zappar. Seizing initiative in my learning, with the guidance of peers, I have been able to produce work that has been key to my practice as an illustrator.

A photo of someone holding the business card of BA Illustration graduate Isabella Borowski. The business card is coloured with blue watercolour, with a white cat walking off the edge. The words 'IKB Illo' are handwritten in white.

It has also further shaped my passion for creating illustrative content that immerses the viewer. My university experience has shown me the benefits of being open to opportunities in various contexts and mediums, as it allows for exploration and opportunities to acquire specialist knowledge.
