BA (Hons) Fine Art
I am a mixed reality artist with a keen interest in pushing the limits of sculpture. I recently introduced technology into my practice through 3D modelling and augmented reality. This led me to develop a series of digital sculptures that are invisible to the human eye until viewed through an augmented reality phone application. It’s possible to walk past these sculptures with absolutely no idea they exist; only through the use of modern technology does the artwork appear.
Exploring this has led to challenges and questions surrounding gallery and museum spaces, as well as how this new technology could improve or even replace these institutions. From this research, I set up my own gallery space, 247 Outdoor Gallery, which I have developed throughout the pandemic.
