My name’s Jake and I’m a concept artist, excited to explore alternate and unexpected worlds through my work. I’ve built my confidence in interpreting briefs and effectively ideating and iterating designs throughout my degree.

Award Winner

I’ve taken part in several game jams, most recently Global Game Jam 2022, in which I took responsibility for the UI of my team’s game. During my last term, I placed 1st in a University Art Test in collaboration with Sumo Digital, producing a keyframe on the theme of ‘Attack The Base’.

In the final year of my degree, I wrote a research report on the integral relationship art styles have with their respective games, specifically focusing on styles that evoke other mediums and what that communicates to the player — this is a subject I’m eager to continue exploring through my practice.
