BA (Hons) Film and Moving Image Production
Like the Lumiere Brothers, my film journey began with a train. Every birthday my mum recalls how as a toddler I would film my train sets with our camcorder until its battery died. My family are the reason for my introduction to film, I remember when my dad showed me Back to the Future when I was ten years old and I fell in love. Even during school holidays, there was only one place I would want my grandmother to take me and that would be to the pictures. Storytelling is personal and I have tried to evoke that with all the projects I have worked on during my time at Norwich University of the Arts. My style is telling grounded stories in over-stylised genres, I have an obsession with classic genres of noir, western, etc. and try to relive these worlds with current day contexts.
