BA (Hons) Games Art and Design
Jasmine Read
I’m a Games Art and Design graduate specialising in 3D art. I have known that I wanted to enter the games industry early on in my education, and in my final year I was able to exercise my love for stylised work, creating my ‘Adventure Time’ inspired weapons shop for my final project. This allowed me to use my illustration/digital painting skills to produce bespoke, hand-painted textures, alongside developing my digital sculpting skills.
I have a good understanding of the PBR pipeline and have experience with methods such as modular environments, simple blue-printing, optimising work, baking, tileable materials and digital sculpting. I have also participated in both internal game jams and the Global Games Jam, which were great opportunities to develop my communication and organisational skills.
I enjoy other hobbies like sewing, embroidery, cooking and board games. These creative crafts enable me to evaluate my 3D work from a different angle and produce more ‘tangible’ models
