Jessica Fearon
BA (Hons) Fine Art
I am a fine art graduate currently based in Norwich. I am constantly looking for new ways to evolve my practice alongside working on commission work to challenge myself as an artist. Neutral colours, subtle symmetry and complex layered compositions are all strong features in my most recent paintings. The figures within my work act as compositional tools predominantly, I focus less on who they are and include them in paintings for aesthetic purposes.
I aim to create works that are visually attractive, non-confrontational and appealing. I strive to prove that a painting doesn’t‚ need to have a significant underlying meaning or message for it to be deemed successful and that work, such as my own, is a visual outcome of a series of carefully made artistic decisions and that can in fact be enough meaning on its own similar to the practice of many contemporary abstract artists.
