BA (Hons) Fine Art
I am a BA Fine Art graduate whose creative practice explores the complex relationships between humanity and nature. Using my own perspectives and experiences as a starting point for reflection, my art investigates the threads that connect us to nearby ecosystems and explores perceptions around ‘wilderness’.
Getting inspiration from the environmental art movement as well as my own adventures, I create works that have an almost dreamlike essence to them. Like a moment captured in time, my sculptures and drawings use memories and interpretations as a tool to speak about the present/future of environments that mean a great deal to me. No matter the medium, my work has an environmental edge that challenges mass culture and our attitudes towards our Earth.
Along with my Fine Art practice, I am also a co-founder of The Syzygy Project, an online environmental art gallery and blog that hopes to foster creativity and productive conversation about the arts and climate.
