Joanna "Asia" Kazub

BA (Hons) Illustration

BA artwork by Joanna Asia Kazub. It shows the artist riding an Arapaima fish. They are waving at the viewer. The background is a pattern of fish in pastel colours of pink, yellow and blue.

I have been drawing from a very young age. My passion for animals, especially those living in the water, has been the primary source of inspiration in the works created to date. My goal is to create book illustrations and maybe one day publish something I created entirely on my own. My artistic interests are vast, but my favourite must be comics and children’s illustrations. Right after that are books and editorial pieces. I always put a bit of playfulness in my work, and it shines through, especially in illustrations targeted at the younger audience.

I do not shy away from a new challenge, and I’m always open to trying out new things, whether it’s a new technique or a type of image I’ve never done before.

2 BA artworks by Joanna Asia Kazub. A front cover of a comic titled 'Cold Cave'. The cover references movie poster of 'The Thing'. The second artwork is a page taken from the comic, showing a character speaking to a walkie-talkie. In the reflection of his goggles there's an ominous silhouette..
BA artwork by Joanna Asia Kazub. A illustration of a child holding a frog. They are surrounded by comic-like panels that show different critters, showing the child's wonder for discovery of nature.
