My name is Kathryn Wilby and I live in Norwich, Norfolk. During the first two years of Architecture at the NUA have spent refining drawing skills and model making. In the final year I switched to using Revit and Photoshop, the results of which are presented.

My proposed design is for a 4-storey hotel located adjacent to the Grade 2* Winter Gardens & Wellington Pier on the seafront at Great Yarmouth. The hotel rooms on the upper floors will have views across the North Sea and to local landmarks such as Britannia Pier, the Wind Farm and the Pleasure Beach. The upper floors of the exterior façade will be clad in Corten Steel with windows placed irregularly to avoid a regulated façade. The lower floors will be built with white brick and glazed curtain walling systems. The hotel will have a green roof and includes a rainwater harvesting system which will form part of the environmental strategy. The hotel has been designed to include restaurants & indoor and outdoor pools.
