Lapin de Lune

BA (Hons) Illustration

BA Illustration piece by Lapin de Lune Showing a character reading a book in a bed surrounded by fireflies and a monster design.

During my time studying at Norwich University of the Arts I have been able to explore my passion of character design to a much deeper level. Starting from more graphic based routes I have developed my digital design techniques when creating illustrations and characters.

Unlike what other mentors have told me, I have been encouraged to follow my passion for manga-styled artwork and use that to grow my own unique look for my illustration work, while also showing the influence it had on me as a creator along with integrating my own flare and design choices.

Over the time of the course I have gained skills that have helped me to render and create much more atmospheric pieces that helps bringing my characters to life. Along with creating my own narrative I am currently working on a project called “The Luckborn Witch” which I had created as my final piece for my degree and that I plan to continue working on to further build on my skills.
