BA (Hons) Photography
As a Queer photographer working with subjects in the LGBTQIA+ community I look at how power works both ways in the act of representation and image making. Creating work that looks deeper into the role of imagery in the modern world drives me to use this work as research, to empower people and begin to build a better foundation for making these spaces and practices comfortable.
My time at NUA has given me the skills and knowledge to take this so much further, constantly digging deeper into my biases, research and methods of application involved in the work I make. Working my way into the industry and seeing the images I create provide the visibility that I and many others needed as young Queer people fuels my practice; I aim to keep moving from here, taking up space where it’s needed.
