Maisie McCoy

BA (Hons) Fine Art

BA fine art work by bananagirlbananaboy, chair sculpted from latex and steel. Exhibited with film projection.

Bananagirlbananaboy – free of rules, conceptually driven.

I work on many projects at once, every step of progress, sparks new process. It helps my practice adapt to a wide range of themes. And my strongest projects are seen through to the end.

Screen recordings and camera captures, highlighting issues with technology. Edited on Premier Pro, Audio created on Pure Data and shown in the bottom left corner of the film.

2022 brought an increase of digital work in my practice, specifically using Adobe and P.D, but I want to learn more. Learning is fun.
Influencers of my practice include Seth Price, Maison Hefner, Sol Lewitt, Gaetano Pesce and Karla Black.

42 piece poly pocket curtain sewn and stapled, filled with digital images printed on gloss.

Fine Print: friendly, fair, passionate, will share most things, feels range of emotions, no better / worse to work with than other artists. Subject to change, as we all change. Text to be received as an artwork not a personal statement, although they are personal statements.
