Megan Tate

BA (Hons) Fashion

Whilst studying Fashion at NUA I have been a student rep for all three years and an NUA PAL mentor, these roles have given me skills such as public speaking, organisation, working in a team/being a team leader, listening, communication. These jobs have also given me more confidence to take any opportunities that arise.

I have always been passionate about costume design, theatre, and looking at ways to improve the use of sustainability. During my 3rd year I gained a job at Theatre Royal as a dresser but also a costume making assistant in which I helped make the costumes for the 2021 Pantomime. I was also involved in a project with Miss Dee Licious, a Norwich drag queen, within this project I was able to work to a live brief and create a performance costume using fabrics from a recycling centre for Miss Dee which she wears now for events.

A final line up illustration that represents my concept by showing my garments being worn by the likes of Lizzo, Cher and Fletcher
