Micah Moreland

BA (Hons) Games Art and Design

Final project diorama by Micah Moreland showing remnants of a decaying, abandoned chateau.

I am an aspiring environment artist with skills in 3D modelling and photography. In my spare time I like to travel and, through my photography, capture the beauty in the world as I see it. Then, when editing I try to evoke a feeling or tell a story, which is exactly what I aim to achieve when creating my own virtual environments. I am passionate about storytelling in games and enjoy worldbuilding and set dressing.

My travels and experience living abroad constantly provide inspiration for my art. My degree allowed me to participate in multiple game jams and gain valuable experience working with others, working to a deadline, and scoping projects. My goal is to work in a team of creative people to realize detailed, captivating environments that allow players to explore and feel the awe of discovery, as I do when exploring interesting places in the real world and in games.
