BA (Hons) Fine Art
Based in London and Norwich, Muneerah is a British-Muslim that is intrinsically inspired by her dual English and Iranian heritage. Her practice is socially engaged and multidisciplinary. Her work is heavily driven by a relentless fascination with the effects of societal and cultural norms on the human experience, with a specific focus on using art to facilitate human connection and better communication. She is passionate about combining her creativity with a desire to help facilitate education, self-discovery and empowerment.
Muneerah is currently an editorial board member of NUA’s Fine Art Degree Show Publication. She has been nominated this year for NUA’s Student Union ‘Outstanding Contribution to Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Award’ and ‘Inspirational Student of the Year’ Award. She has attended two residencies at The Wysing Arts Centre both in her 1st and 2nd year at NUA and has exhibited at Mall Galleries, Hoxton Arches, London Underground, and with Hospitals Rooms.
