Nancy Holmes

BA (Hons) Graphic Design

Rectangular gin bottle with the word Kiribati filled with illustrations of animals and nature

I am an aspiring creative in the graphic design world specialising in brand identity and packaging. Balancing bright ideas and craft has been at the heart of my degree, aiming to design work that creates smile in the mind moments whilst standing out from the crowd. I find every brief to be an exciting design problem I cannot wait to solve, enjoying the process as much as the satisfaction of the final result.

An advert with the gin bottle in the middle and wildlife from Kiribati growing around it. The caption reads ‘Saving Kiribati one G&T at a time’.

My degree has taught me how to develop and craft ideas into something beautiful through using Adobe Creative Cloud and my background in fine art. I thrive under pressure and enjoy the collaborative dynamic of working in a team, effectively adapting to online methods of communication due to lockdown. Using design to create a better world is something that is particularly important to me, from raising awareness to climate change to promoting better working standards, my favourite pieces of work are those that are ethically driven.

Five chocolate bar flavours, each featuring a hand picking a cocoa bean in a rough, printed style.
A cookbook featuring a front cover, recipe and title pages
Yellow background with black text reading ‘There’s a Noise in the Shed’. Different noises such as ‘OI’ grow out of the type, squishing the rest of the words around them.
