BA (Hons) Illustration
I am an illustrator, printmaker and workshop facilitator. My practice is informed by my mixed cultural heritage and through illustration I have begun to open up new dialogues regarding identity, history and tradition. At the start of my degree, I co-founded the NUA BAME society, this enabled me to develop my skills in graphics within the context of social media and marketing. We organised visiting speaker events stemming from a need for BAME students to feel represented within the industry while at university.
My work within the society has impacted my creative journey and will continue to inform my practice. My degree and role as a society officer has provided me with a wide range of transferable and technical skills which have prepared me for the challenges that lie ahead beyond my degree.
